Can I use a vonage phone with wildblue, even poorly? Thanks.

Anybody knows the satellite internet service company for the fishing boats and Merchant vessels trading at Pacific, Indian ocean.

We are looking for the service company to provide internet access, e-mail and VoIP to our managed vessels.

BW will be launching a new HX software in around 2 months from now that will automatically trigger and allocate CIR when a modem passes VOIP traffic.
This new development will greatly enhance the user experience of VOIP and is expected to put Hughes at the front end of the VOIP satellite delivered service!

I have asked this question lots of times,is there any vsat system that will work with VoIP.

I have a customer who has just been quoted 27,000 to get a phone line in.

I was getting VoIP over star band Satellite using HT486, It worked good until last Friday when SUN-ISP had a fire and their mainframe and servers burned up in a fire.

Where can I find a Voip over Satellite service provider? I allready have Starband Nova Pro and a ht48.  

We need VOIP and high-speed internet connectivity via satellite for a remote residential location on Kodiak Island, AK.

Landline phone lines are not available.

Satellite TV would also be nice to include from the same provider, but not a priority.

Can anyone offer suggestions of companies that can meet our needs?

I want to relocate to Italy, but to do my work I need a fast internet connection for my IP-VPN & VOIP tunnelling to the office in Holland. As most of the small towns in Italy don't have ADSL coverage, I need to look at Satellite Internet. However, most systems don't support IP-VPN and VOIP. (I use Cisco IP-VPN and Mitel VOIP).

Does anyone know a good provider who does support this? ...

I operate an Internet cafe and my Internet connection is via satellite. The satellite modem is Linkstar. Recently my Internet cafe started offering Internet phone call services. So at present it offers net browsing and VoIP services.    

As for the VoIP, I use Net2phone IP phone, but the quality of the VoIP is very bad especially when my LAN is busy. My customers are complaining  about the quality of the VoIP. I have ...

Still trying to work it out with Vonage, but since I upgraded my system to the HN9000 modem last weekend (and MASSIVELY increased speed to 1.5m ul/.5m dl) I've lost call quality dramatically.

Any ideas?

It was actually working quite well before with the .5/.1 speeds...
